Controlling High Blood Pressure Is The Easiest Thing To Do

October 29, 2009

Controlling blood pressure is the easiest thing to do, provided you know the basics. It has to do much with your eating and drinking habits.

Look in the mirror. Not seeing only the face. Look at your entire figure. There’s your future. How long do you think your body can continue to accept all things that, without applying any thought, just because your taste like? Do you know that overweight people are more likely to suffer a stroke? Do you check your weight at regular intervals?

When he saw the weighing machine marking a fat gain of 16 pounds within two months, why should just ignore it? It must have shocked into action. The least we can do is find out what your weight is now and what your weight should be!

You have to watch what you eat because it is directly and proportionately related to blood pressure. I agree that “one must be faithful to salt, but this is not true for you. You have to reduce their intake of salt drastically, before your doctor tells you - no more salt! Avoid salty, and fried foods. Adopting a diet low in saturated fat.

Two well-known remedies to control high blood pressure are butter milk and lemon. Take butter milk regularly. It’s good for both - low and high blood pressure. Lemon peel is also equally effective in high blood pressure. A grated lemon peel may be added to soups and stews or sprinkled over salads.

And tell me, have you stopped drinking or are still contemplating the decision? If you’ve already made that decision, then let me congratulate you. But if you think you can not do everything at once, reduce alcohol intake. Just take a drink a day. If you are already under surveillance by their family doctor, please follow the instructions with sincerity. Let there be no holidays for the medicine and please keep sufficient stocks in advance. If your doctor has called on Sunday for a check, then make sure it gets there this Sunday itself and, next Monday.

In addition, the physician should have given some indications on the timing of exercise that you need, for example, morning walk, light stretching exercises or light aerobics. Follow the schedule strictly. Your doctor treats hundreds of patients, as every day. He has more practical wisdom about high blood pressure, than you. Go as per his advice and understand their treatments.

Regular blood pressure check is a necessity. You have such an arrangement at your home. Their regular check-lists will help greatly to their medical treatment. That all members of his family, his wife and children go for screening, along with you, even if they have this condition.

If you take basic precautions like controlling your diet and adequate exercise - keep aside all imaginary worries and live a normal and relaxed!
