Which Breast Augmentation Procedure Is Right For You?

February 20, 2010

Being vain is not the only grounds why some people go through breast augmentation operations in hospitals.

Differing breast sizes, very small breasts, full or partial removal of the breast through cancer, and drooping breasts are some of the justifications for breast enhancement methods. The healing period of breast enhancement surgeries should be deterrent for people to have the surgery done. Moreover, the factors listed above should never be subject to other people’s negative biases about vanity.

Breast enhancement methods are divided into two distinct categories. The first category of breast enhancement option consists of breast enhancement procedures that are surgical in nature. Breast implants are the most often used materials for breast augmentation. Silicone- or saline-filled implants are placed under the muscle of the breasts. The implants come in various sizes; thus, the individual can have a considerable increase in their bra size following the surgical treatment.

There have been occurrences of leaks in these implants. Silicone breast enlargement implants are selected more for their “natural” texture even if silicone has side effects in the body. Saline breast enhancement implants feel less natural. Nevertheless, these have an advantage just in case they leaked because the saline solution could be absorbed by the body without any side-effects.

There are a number of methods of breast enlargement today that do not require surgery.

Non surgical breast enhancement procedures belong to the second category of breast enhancement methods. These procedures are non-invasive and usually do not require a long period of recovery time. Hyaluronic acid is a completely safe breast enhancement filler offered as an alternative to the implants; it can increase the bra size to one cup or more. With the patient under local anesthesia, the filler is injected into the breast. The process lasts between thirty and 90 minutes, and there is no prolonged recovery period. Those who had the breast enlargement procedure done were able to go back to doing their daily activities immediately the day after they were injected with the hyaluronic acid.

After one year, the filler breaks down and is absorbed in the body without causing side effects.

Discuss with a registered surgeon to have more details regarding breast enhancement processes.

Best Classes For Pilates - How To Find Them?

February 20, 2010

The kind of certification that your instructor has and your natural talent for it plays a very vital role. An instructor is never asked about his talent or his potential as an instructor but it becomes essential. You should know about the certification that he has acquired and from where. About the duration that he has been instructing and his experience as a Pilates instructor.

You will see that many of the instructors have not studied Pilates for long; it so happens because of the fundamentals needed for training differ from every other institutions. There are specific rules for the course to undergo, while some boards may want to continue for a definite period of time, others would like to enroll right away, ignoring the vital aspect of experience.

Another important question you should ask before signing up for Pilates classes is if your instructor will not teach certain people. Not all instructors feel comfortable teaching everyone, for example some instructors will not feel comfortable teaching pregnant women, and others might not be able to teach someone who has certain health complications.

Survey

You need to do a certain kind of observation relating to Pilates classes. Do a survey about the instructor’s style of teaching and the way he instructs and interrelates with other students. How clean they keep the equipments, and other such details. Thus by observing you can understand the way of instruction and know if you would be comfortable with this instructor’s style of teaching.

Different people prefer to exercise for different time durations. There is the good chance that you might not prefer to work out for one full hour and in that case check with the instructor if all the sessions are for the same time frame and if any sessions might suit you. Though a certified instructor may not be necessarily good, it definitely is a proof for the training he has undergone for the same.

If your instructor has had comprehensive training then they will have studied anatomy, physiology, and possibly may have had some sports science training. Training like this is important to make sure that students are not pushing themselves too much.

Ways To Get Rid Of Body Hairs

February 19, 2010

These days, a woman can not just raise her hands without being sure her underarm is hairless. Smiling just won’t do anymore, she also has to get rid of any hint of mustache on her upper lip. And if you think she wears sleeveless blouse and short skirts on her relaxed days, think once again. Most likely, she didn’t wake up and simply wore those garments instantly. She still had to shave or wax her arms and legs.

While hair removal is very normal for the women, some “macho” guys also get rid of their unwanted hair on the body. While the ladies will not lift an eyebrow upon seeing a hairy man, they likely will not be anxious to introduce themselves to him as well. Some men think that trimming or getting rid of their face and body hair is more attractive to women. It can also be that they find being hair-free more comfortable and sanitary than being covered with their own hair.

Taking off unwanted hair is nothing new. The practice has been present since the ancient civilization time. People are only continuing what they think works.

Those who wish to get rid of unwanted facial and body hairs can choose either to depilate or epilate. Depilating is the removal of the hair from above the skin surface, while epilating is getting rid of the full hair from root to tip.

Depilating techniques include shaving the hair, trimming it, applying chemical creams that break the bonds of the hair, and buffing them away. Common epilating methods include waxing, sugaring, plucking, and threading. And while these techniques are admittedly more painful, hair will take longer to grow back.

For those who are willing to shell out more money, there are permanent ways to remove and reduce hair. Electrolysis permanently removes hair by applying electricity to a solid hair-thin metal probe that is slid into each hair follicle. This will cause localized damage to the follicles, which is responsible for generating hair.

For permanent hair reduction, a popular method is laser hair removal. As the name indicates, it applies laser to cause contained damage in the area that causes hair growth. There is also the Intense Pulsed Light or IPL. Sometimes called as Flashlamps, this method utilizes light of different wavelengths to remove hair and treat several skin conditions such as hyperpigmentation.

Each technique differs on strength, cost, convenience, and the length of time the hair grows back. As each has its own pros and cons, always take extra caution every time you exercise any of the said methods.

Dr. Komathy offers acne clearing among many others. Other aesthetic concerns such as hair loss is also available at The Lifestyle Clinic. This and other unique content ‘unwanted hair removal’ articles are available with free reprint rights.

Some Ways Of Finding Out About Neck Pain

February 19, 2010

There are many people that deal with neck pain, if not once, then many times in their life. The pain can be caused by a variety of reasons. Anything from sleeping in the wrong position which can cramp the neck muscles, to a serious car accident can trigger the constant pain in the neck and upper back, sometimes including the shoulders.

Pains in the neck and jaws can often mean a serious medical condition. Neck, jaw and upper back pain and pressure can often be signs of heart problems in woman. This needs to be taken seriously by both the doctor and patient. Further tests should be performed to rule out any potentially deadly condition in the heart or blood vessels that surround the heart.

One of the most devastating injuries that often happen to the neck and the spine is during a vehicle accident. The sudden jolt and stopping of the neck and body muscles often result in a condition known as whip lash. This type of injury is very painful and may take many weeks, sometimes with therapy, to recover from.

In some accidents, the neck injuries are so severe; the patient may never recover from the spinal damage. This often leaves the patient paralyzed because of the damage to the spinal column or broken bones in the vertebrae in the neck area. Many that have severe damage may never be able to walk or talk again. Some are very aware of their surroundings but are unable to verbally communicate with others.

The deterioration of the neck bones can cause severe pain in the neck region. Arthritis is often the common reason that bones lose the cushion in between them, often causing the bones to rub. This is very common in the neck because throughout our lives, we are constantly moving our head, causing friction in the neck bones.

Stress is often the main reason many people have pains in the neck and lower head area. Stress causes the muscles to tense, often causing pain in the neck that eventually causes a headache in most patients. A prescription can be written by your doctor for a medication that combines acetaminophen and a mild muscle relaxer to help with medical situations such as that.

There are a few serious reasons that pain can be radiating in the neck or face. To get a thorough check up, it is recommended that you see a doctor. Some of the situations that cause the pain can be quite serious and require immediate medical attention.

Tribulus Terrestris Extract - A Superb Tool For Bodybuilding

February 18, 2010

Tribulus terrestris is a flowering plant, growing mainly in Europe and Asia.

In addition to the increased aggressiveness and sex drive it also contributes to the quality and volume of user`s sperm. This is a topic for another article, let`s concentrate on the topic at hand - bodybuilding.

Tribulus terrestris become popular in the 70s. It Gained popularity in Eastern Europe first and then the word spread around the globe. It was brought to America by strongman Jeffrey Petermann, looking for new ways to boos training results. It hasn`t left.

While creatine has gained a popularity in every kind of sports the tribulus as staid in the bodybuilding scene.

Tribulus terrestris extract if often labeled as a safe steroid. While it is safe, saying that it`s a steroid is an insult. Steroids rise the testosterone levels way higher than is a body`s natural limit - thus producing a lot of very dangerous side effects. The tribulus does no such thing. But it does help you to build lean muscle mass faster than ever before. While they both rise body`s testosterone levels, tribulus terrestris does not have the power to go beyond what they should be.

The main active ingredient of tribulus terrestris is protodioscin. This is what does the job. When you buy tribulus make sure that you`d get the extract as a simple yet cheaper plant material contains too low amount of protodioscin and therefore does not work. It releases NO to body and therefore increases testosterone levels. There have been a lot of successful animal studies that support this and smaller amount of human tests also.

The problem with the human studies is that they are very few and most of them are done by the order of an Bulgarian largest tribulus and health products supplier. So there are serious doubts about the accuracy of their results. These studies confirm that it does indeed increase testosterone levels, erectile functions, sperm quality and volume, libido, sex drive.

A lot of people swear by tribulus. They say that the increase in libido and muscular developement is excellent. There is also a lot of people who say that it does not work.

There might be the answer. Young people`s testosterone levels and sex drive is already to it`s maximum while middle aged men`s testosterone is lacking and tribulus terrestris makes a difference there. It is also said that even when not working out, middle aged men should add tribulus terrestris to their daily diet anyway to keep healthy. Low testosterone levels lead to muscle loss, erectile problems, decrease in general strength. Ingesting few grams of tribulus terrestris daily could help to keep up the quality of life.

It is considered that bodybuilder should intake 2+ grams of tribulus terrestris extract daily. Some people advise to do it before going to bed as during sleep an insulin spike is happening which also creates testosterone. As there are no known unwanted side effects or dangers in over dosing on tribulus terrestris, there is no upper limit of dosage. Many have said that the more they take it, the better results they get.

To enjoy it`s gains you need to still push yourself to the maximum. It is no wonder drug, you will have to push hard to enjoy the results in your body.

If your protein and carbohydrate intake is as it should, you get enough vitamins, you have gone through enough creatine then tribulus terrestris extract would be a good next step…and more or less a final step. There is really no other aces up your sleeve is you are a natural bodybuilder. Next step is steroids with it`s side effects. Whether you are up to it is for you to decide but please take some time to consider if it`s worth it.

We always keep reaching for the bigger and stronger ourselves and tribulus terrestris extract is a good way of helping us out. You need to try it out on yourself and see if it works on you or not, it worked on me.

Pain in the Knees

February 17, 2010

The common issue for pain in the knees would usually occur within the join, in the knee joint of course. The soft tissue plus the bone provides the roughage, or the material for pain signals, while the nerves transmit these signals to the brain, causing major discomfort for the patient. Rheumatic illnesses usually target the knee joint because it is, not only one of the largest of joint, but also because the largest bone and the strongest muscle is also connected to it.

When you experience pain in the knees, it is not something that should be overlooked or ignored. The causes of inflammation in the joint range from a whole of conditions. There’s non-inflammatory arthritis, which is basically age-related; and the inflammatory type of arthritis which happens with the soft tissues become sensitive to the movement of the joint. A more disturbing consequence is that this will result to more serious complications will aggravate the surrounding areas of your knee, like cyst formations in example.

The swelling and inflammation can lead to the introduction of dead and toxic substances that could cause discomfort or even the eruption of resulting illnesses like fevers and chills. Continued tolerance of this condition could lead to rotting, surrounding cell death and others in most extreme cases. Surgery and draining would be opted in the long run.

Pellegrini-Stieda Syndrome is also possible. In a condition like this, your knees are susceptible to a lot of calcification, making it hard for you to move your knees or if you can, makes it very painful to do so. Cooling the area with an ice bag is the usual first aid for this condition. Proper leg exercises can help in the long run as well as minimize the discomfort and pain you might be feeling.

Bursitis is a common ailment as well for the knee. It is either found in the insides or in the front knee cap. Over the counter pain medication can ease the pain, as well as corticosteroids. Exercise is beneficial too, for most cases. A visit to the doctor and some medication would still be needed though so that the pain won’t impede your daily routine.

Grim Panic Attacks

February 17, 2010

For most people, a panic attack may be something that they experience once or twice in their life, if in any way. However , a severe panic attack comes on all of a sudden and for no obvious reason, and can even manifest intense physical reactions. Severe panic attacks can be frightening, and can cause a person to think that they are about to die, as they regularly mimic coronary symptoms. For those who experience panic attacks often, may be afflicted by a recognized illness called panic disorder.

Severe Panic Attacks Symptoms

A fast heart rate, lack of breath, dizzy spells, nausea and hot flushes are all dreadful panic attack symptoms. Different folks experience varying symptoms, which include sweating, faintness, shaking, headache, chest discomfort from stress and anxiety, hyperventilation, intestinal cramping, chills, tightness in your throat and having difficulty swallowing. In most situations, panic attacks come on all of a sudden, and sometimes build for the following 10 minutes. Among the many different forms people have experienced are panic attacks that can persist for half an hour and barely, lasting a full day. Most panic attacks leave the person exhausted, and the very idea of having another one itself, may cause serious foreboding symptoms. In severe cases, people are disinclined to leave their homes, feeling that no other place is safe.

Often , there is limited awareness of the factors behind serious panic attacks or panic disorder. However , stress, genetics and changes in brain function could be the contributory elements. The changes an individual experiences during a panic attack, is the body’s natural response to danger. By inflating pulse rate and breathing, the body readies itself to battle, or for flight. What leaves most scientists flummoxed is why these changes are experienced in circumstances where there isn’t any clear danger.

Severe Panic Attack Treatments

The good news is that correct treatment effectively controls and gets rid of all the indicators of grim panic attack. With medicines and / or psychotherapy, a person is in a position to live a normal life. Some of the medicines used to manipulate the symptoms which may sometimes include depression are :

* SSRIs : These are drugs that fall in the category of antidepress-ants called selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitors. They include citalopram ( Celexa ), fluoxetine ( Prozac, Prozac Weekly ), escitalopram ( Lexapro ), sertraline ( Zoloft ), and paroxetine ( Paxil, Paxil CR ).

* MAOIs : The mono-amine oxidase inhibitors or MAOIs are mood depress-ants that are used as a last resort medicine, as they require strict dietary restrictions and can cause potentially fatal side effects. The Usefulness Of Home Remedies For Constipation

February 17, 2010

The condition of being constipated is endemic to the population of most countries with an incidence rate pegged at about 15%. Most of the people who are afflicted make no attempt to treat, and even less ask for advice or help from a health services figure. This is understandable as the condition is somewhat embarrassing, which explains the general reluctant to report to physicians.

As a result of the stigma attached to this intestinal condition, a large number of people try self-treatment with natural or home-based methods. An enlightened perspective of these natural agents should be obtained to avoid negative health impact. “Natural” is not a term implying hazard-free.

The most commonly used herb is the senna plant. The senna plant has powerful laxative properties due to high concentrations of anthraquinones. Anthraquinones have been found to increase intestinal activity and speed up movement of stool. It can be obtained as either tablets or in bags of leaves to be prepared as a tea. The cascara plant also has a history of being a natural laxative but has since been banned by the FDA.

While senna is a chemical agent that stimulates the colon to move its contents more quickly, mineral oil is an entirely different kind of agent used as a natural constipation treatment. When taken by mouth, it enters the intestine where it coats the stool. Since oil is a water repellent, the stool becomes protected against loss of fluid. This enables it to remain bulky and therefore move more quickly. Doctor and scientists call this a lubricant laxative which is a bit of a misnomer.

More widespread than either of the above are natural constipation treatments based on fiber. A popular one is psyllium. The psyllium plant is famous for having seeds that contain a lot of fiber. The seeds are usually processed into fine powder form which can then be dissolved. Retailers like nutritional supplement stores carry brand names like Metamucil which are incarnations of psyllium.

The flaxseed is another source of high fiber. These can be crushed like psyllium or taken whole. An additional benefit that some have reported is that consumption of flaxseed can lower cholesterol. However, such results need more confirmation and research. The oils that are extracted from flaxseed are not as palatable to most people.

Additional information and advice should be sought from a health professional with regards to natural constipation treatments. A doctor possesses more knowledge and understanding of the subtleties or dangers associated with treatments. For example, some natural laxatives may be effective but have harmful effects on people with certain conditions. Any subject wishing to take these agents should become aware of these harmful effects.

How To Keep Acnes From Occurring

February 16, 2010

Are you over the age of 25 but you feel like you’re still in your adolescent years because of your acnes? If you are still suffering from pimples, blackheads, zits, and more, then puberty has nothing to do with it. Clearing out acnes isn’t easy. Before you want to eliminate them, you might want to keep them first from existing.

Get a healthy lifestyle. And by healthy I mean eat, drink, breathe, and live healthy. You need to clear out all the toxicities to clear your acne. Better watch your diet as well. As much as possible, eat less fatty foods and avoid drinking too much alcoholic and caffeinated beverages. Drinking water, lots of it, works wonders as well. It gets rid of oil, waste, and toxins from your body. It will also moisturize your skin, keeping your pores from clogging. There is also the issue of exercising regularly, avoiding stress, quitting smoking, and practicing proper hygiene.

Those preventive steps may help keep the acnes from gracing your face and body, but what if you already have them?

You can try topical creams and gels, but they only eliminate the problem briefly. Not that they’re useless, as a matter of fact, most acne dries out quickly with over-the-counter products. Medicines that contain benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid may be applied to mild to moderate cases of acne. You can also hear other people trusting natural remedies. Honey, oatmeal, ginger, and even ice are said to treat acnes.

But if you have serious acne problem, then topical products aren’t adequate.

Acnes should also be treated internally. As mentioned, topical products work for mild to moderate cases of acne, but they can’t eradicate the source of the problem. There are oral antibiotic drugs that people can take to clear up their acne. However, those medicines, which may contain erythromycin or any of the tetracycline antibiotics, may have side effects that include staining of the teeth among others. So it is best to consult a dermatologist first before taking any oral medicines.

For some girls, acnes are a monthly thing. Each time their menstrual cycle is about to start, women’s hormonal level changes, causing oil secretion of the glands. There are those who find taking oral contraceptives helpful in eradicating their acnes.

Getting rid of acnes has no exact solution. What works for others may not work for some. But whatever measure you prefer, taking a healthy lifestyle won’t hurt.

Dr. Komathy offers acne clearing among many others. Other aesthetic concerns such as breast augmentation is also available at The Lifestyle Clinic. Don’t reprint this exact article. Instead, reprint a free unique content version of this same article.
