Ardha Kurmasana - Half Tortoise Pose

Ardha Kurmasana is also known as Half Tortoise Yoga Asana. Because of its resemblance to a turtle that is known as the tortoise pose. This yoga asana can prove very beneficial to your body in every way possible. By undertaking this asana regularly and properly our body can be rejuvenated. The organs are stretched to the maximum with each movement of this asana.

The movement of the shoulder is improved as are the muscles in the areas concerned. Abdominal muscles will tone and become more flexible. The asana stretches the lower part of the lungs that is good for breathing. It also increases lung capacity, which turns out to be crucial if you have respiratory problems like asthma.
