Men’s Solution To Hair Loss Crisis - Learning More About Hair Transplant

December 24, 2011

Hair is very important for individuals. Studies show that men spent millions of dollars a year on various hair restoration products accessible in the market. While females also get hit by baldness, the situation is more prevalent in men. Hair transplant is a rising popular option for men who have problem with baldness.

There are a lot of men who see the lost of their hair as the lost of the self-esteem as well. For them, hair equals self-confidence. Regrettably, many baldness cases are genetic. As a last resort, after exhausting every restoration treatments in the market, a lot of men end up undergoing hair transplant surgery.

The process requires transferring hairs from a thick growth area to the balding parts. It is a minor procedure performed by a qualified surgeon that requires the administering of local anesthesia. The procedure usually lasts for hours, around 4 to 8 hours at the most.

Hair transplant process is not for all. Only those who still have hair to transfer can undergo this surgery. The baldness pattern for men normally begins at the top and front of the scalp. The hairs that will be moved to the balding area will come from the back of the scalp.

But with the most recent hair transplant procedure, the follicular unit extraction or FUE, even those without hair on the scalp can have the operation. This versatile process can transfer hair to your head from other areas of the body, including beard, back, stomach, chest, neck, and arms and legs.

Although it has been said that you can continue regular activities right away after the process, it is still recommended that you wait for a few more hours, or a full day if you can, before you drive. While you will likely be conscious, you will also be sedated during the operation. A hovering effect may still be present even after the surgery.

Be patient, though. Before you can see the complete effect, you need to wait until the transplanted hair follicles start to grow first.

As true in all surgical procedures, patients undergoing hair transplant process should be perfectly healthy. While it is a comparatively safe process, any hazards of surgery also apply here. Consult with your physician first before signing up for the process.

Hair Loss, Hair Transplant And Other Treatments

December 24, 2011

Hair loss and receding hair lines are among the symptoms of biological process that some dread the most. Men experience it more frequently but it does happen to both men and women. Different from wrinkles and sagging skin nevertheless, excessive hair loss cannot be promptly hidden by specialized creams and loose beauty serums.

There are a lot of causes why we suffer hair loss. Aside from aging, there are a lot separate reasons and factors that induce the receding hairline, and the thinning, and eventual excessive hair loss. Among them are hormonal changes such as when a woman gives birth, a skin disease, stress, vulnerability to certain chemicals and radiation during medication, hair treatments or even mechanical means like pulling and braiding.

Is Hair Transplant Always The Solution?

Losing up to about a hundred hair a day is normal. This is due to the process of shedding that is needed in hair growth. However, if there are excessive loss, something must be wrong. Consult a doctor and ask for possible treatments. What others do not see is that there are many solutions, unheeding what the explanation for your hair loss is. First, a sufficient consumption of protein is recommended because it is necessary for hair production. There are also some prescription medicine treatments that are for sale at most drug stores. They work by rubbing the substance directly into the scalp or whichever part that needs regrowing. Finally, if you feel you are not contented with the fundamental treatments, you can always study hair transplant surgeries.

Hair Transplant Is A Viable Choice.

Hair transplant surgical procedure is one of the current technologies that can bring out a fast effect. The operation is reasonably simple; the surgeon plants new hair follicles into parts where they are necessary. Essentially, they will develop as the natural hair would develop, unlike some treatments that only patch parts of the scalp. The newest technologies would not even produce scars in your head.

Of course there are yet some precautions before undergoing a hair transplant surgical procedure. Make certain you pick a professional surgeon who really specializes in the field of operation. Check out if the hair that is going to be used for you is in the right amount and condition. You wouldn’t want your new hair starkly standing out against the old ones.

The Correlation Of Acne Scars And Depression

September 20, 2010

Scars left by pimples have a big influence on a person’s sense of being. One inevitable - and calamitous - experience that most of us experience during our youth is suffering from a case of acne. We had to live with the vexing pimples and the later scarring.

Bacteria are pinpointed as the major cause of pimples. Bacteria thrive on hair follicles that are plugged with grime and sebum.

Most of us will grown into adults and be zit-free. However, scars left behind by pimples do not always lighten with time, and this can cause woe to some.

There are 4 varieties of scarring caused by acne. Ice pick scars got their name because they are pit-like marks on the skin. Boxcar scars are ordinarily located on the temples and the cheeks, and they could resemble scars left after a case of chickenpox. Keloidal and hypertrophic scars are easily identifiable because of their raised surfaces. Rolling scars make shallow hollows on the skin.

Results of controlled research show that some people experience low self-esteem and depression because of facial scars.

However, there is no need to lose hope just yet. There are now a number of technological developments for the treatment of facial scars caused by acne. Some of these treatment methods use a form of laser therapy. Other treatment methods and procedures require some form of dermabrasion. There are creams and subcutaneous injections available as well. Consult your doctor about the best acne scar removal and/or treatment technology that will suit you.

Giving Liposuction A More Serious Thought

August 20, 2010

Liposuction candidates are driven to the process out of the classic and simple fact that they want to look and feel beautiful. But a credible aesthetics surgery centre offering the procedure will belie some wild expectations. Liposuction is not magic. Though it can vastly eliminate fat deposits in the body, it is not a cure-all overnight solution.

In considering liposuction, prospects must first realize their role in keeping sound expectations about the consequences of the procedure.

Liposuction is simply a process of suctioning fat repositories resting on the layer between the muscle and the skin. A doctor inserts a cannula, a stainless steel tube, into the area through small incisions. The liposuction cannula is then connected to a powerful suction pump to excrete the fat. After the process, the surgical incisions will heal on their own. The result is a better shape.

Is liposuction an able treatment for obesity? The answer is no. Patients distressed from obesity need to work closely with their nutritionist to subdue the volume of calorie consumption by dieting, or to use the current calorie level by exercise. It is already dangerous to suction 8-10 pounds of fat in a day. Many times, patients with obesity who insist on liposuction only sustain serious and torturous post-surgical complications.

What then is the measurement of successful liposuction? It is in the primary fact that a person’s form has dramatically altered. This does not mean a change in body size completely. A person may still be considered heavy if he or she compares himself or herself with someone who is naturally slim. A successful lipo operation sees the patient loving his or her new form, regardless of how slim other people appear to be.

Fat collections do not come back in areas where liposuction has been employed. But, if a person has drastically gained weight, the tendency for the fat to be deposited in other areas increases.

For the long-term outcomes of a successful liposuction, patients are encouraged to take care of their body by taking foods healthily and working out regularly.

Laser Liposuction Risks - Problems You May Face When Getting Laser Liposuction

June 25, 2010

Due to the hundreds of advertisements regarding laser liposuction and any other methods of body sculpting and fat reduction, it is no wonder why people tend to think that these procedures are entirely safe and does not involve any sort of risks. They also feel that such procedures are painless and instantaneous. Blame it on the claims that the procedure is merely about going under anesthesia, losing the fats, tightening the skin and go on with your old lifestyle as if nothing occurred. Sounds too good to be true right?

Laser liposuction is, without a doubt, a groundbreaking advancement in the plastic surgery field. In fact, it is much recommended among other surgical procedures. But nothing would change the fact that laser liposuction is a surgical method, which includes risks and stakes.

Majority of laser liposuction risks are the ones associated with any traditional liposuction procedure. The introduction of laser heat also brings about complication. If the laser is placed for too long and too close in the skin or if a certain area is being attended to too aggressively, possibilities of thermal injury and burns may occur.

Skin loss is one of the numerous laser liposuction risks. It may occur when a surgeon applies too much laser heat in a particular area and the overlying skin becomes damage, or worse, lost. To avoid this, a surgeon must have precision and expertise. Skin burn is a potential risk but it is very rare, especially if you have a practiced surgeon.

One other risk, which is a very common one, is the infection. Invasive equipments can be a cause of infection. Because the laser tip will be inserted under the skin, antibiotics and precautions in the operating room are necessary. Risks from anesthesia may also happen while having laser liposuction. A lot of deaths occurred during or after liposculpture and liposuction procedures due to overdose of lidocaine, which is the substance or anesthetic used by surgeons to eliminate pain during the surgery.

Contour deformities are also among the possible laser liposuction risks. Deformities such as depressions, bumps, wavy lines and lumps in the skin appear 20% of the time in the standard lipo procedure. But with laser liposuction, the 20% decreases. Another problem is the loose skin, particularly for those patients with poor skin elasticity. Loose skin is very common for a standard lipo operation. However, in laser lipo, loose skin is not that common, since the procedure is known for tightening the skin. If you have an inexperienced doctor, then this risk can definitely occur.

Last among the risks of laser liposuction is the damage caused by an untrained non-professional plastic surgeon. A professional and expert surgeon is the sonly qualified individual that can work on the laser liposuction. If you want to have a satisfying outcome, get a professional surgeon for the job.

Almost all of these laser liposuction risks are common and normal. However, by getting a skilled, licensed and experienced plastic surgeon to work on you, these risks can be lessened or even totally eliminated. But first, you should research on the surgeon you are about to choose. If he is credible and has a good record, then it will be a good decision to have him operate on you.

The author, Mr. Vincent Aung thouroughly enjoys crafting articles on the notion of lazer lipo and also weight loss on the blogs he writes for so navagate there!

Liposuction - A Basic Guide To This Sought after Operation

May 16, 2010

Parts of the body can be reshaped to look slimmer by removing accumulated fat through a tube by the use of suction in a procedure called liposuction. This is why it is also called “fat modelling”. If your body does not respond to conventional ways of slimming, you will probably need liposuction. The areas of the body that respond best to liposuction are the thighs, abdomen, buttocks, hips, chin, jowls, and neck. People often choose it for breast reduction because it does not damage the skin.

Regardless of the type of liposuction, the accumulated fat is always taken out of the body through a stainless steel tube. In one method, called tumescent liposuction, local anaesthetic is administered under the skin to the affected part of the body. The body part so treated becomes tumescent or swollen so that fat can be extracted with ease and without pain. In a process called ultrasonic assisted liposuction, sound waves are used to soften the fat under the skin before removal.

General anaesthesia is often regarded as an additional surgical risk and tumescent liposuction, which uses none, is regarded as the lowest risk surgery. The sub dermal blood vessels shrink as a result of the anaesthetic injection and and the loss of blood is reduced considerably. This permits micro-cannulae (very small diameter tubes) to be used. In other more conventional liposuction methods, the large diameter tubes allow the quick extraction of fat but may cause blemishes to the skin. Micro-cannulae have the advantage of allowing a smoother skin.

If you are not in good health and suffer from ailments such as diabetes or heart disease, avoid liposuction. If you are in good health with skin that heals quickly and you are not slimming despite all the exercise or the strict diet, you should try liposuction. All forms of surgery have some level of risk.

The biggest risk is the removal of too much fat or too many areas that are simultaneously treated. Research shows that needs are generally the cause of problems after surgery. Some people react negatively to the use of anaesthesia while there is always the danger of the All incisions can result in scarring. If the cosmetic surgeon does not stay attentive throughout the operation, he may damage the skin.

Always bear in mind that liposuction is not the end to your fat problems. After the liposuction, you should ensure that you stay healthy with exercise and a moderate diet so that you can keep those fat deposits away.

Is A Liposuction Op Really Worth The Soreness And Potential Hazards?

May 15, 2010

Some people are willing to go to great lengths to achieve the ideal body they want. For these people, it is worth the money they have to pay and the pain they have to go through. Even the high cost and the potential risk of liposuction really don’t matter, as your desperation to get a shapely form overshadows everything. If you’re getting weary of coming back and forth different gyms, you may consider liposuction as an option for eliminating those fatty cells and shaping your body.

Even if it seems a simple enough cosmetic procedure, some rare and potentially life threatening complications can occur. You have to know the potential complications in order to make a well-informed decision of whether or not you are ready to subject your body to such trauma.

Fatalities from complications such as pulmonary embolism and visceral perforations (organ damage from puncture wounds) are known to have occurred. Anesthesia toxicity can develop from an overdose of lidocaine, a drug used to numb the skin during liposuction. While infection incidences are rare, some cases such as necrotizing fasciitis and toxic shock syndrome can be fatal.

As a prospective liposuction patient, you can eliminate much of the anxiety associated with the surgery by learning the basics of the process beforehand. The surgeon will put you under anaesthesia, after which he would create an incision, revealing the fatty area. Hollow needles or cannulas are inserted in the areas to be treated; the cannula loosens fat cells, which are then suctioned out of the body by means of suction syringe. After the surgery, you should not do any major physical activity for about a month. Take medications until prescription is finished and call your doctor for any sign of infection or other side effects.

Swelling will continue to go down over the months and the final results will be revealed. You may still observe some swelling for several months and the final outcome may not be clear until 6 months after surgery, in which time you can then tell whether it was worth the risk and pain. A successful result may sometimes give the notion to have another treatment in other parts; give your body time to recover before rushing into another liposuction cosmetic surgery.

Which Breast Augmentation Procedure Is Right For You?

February 20, 2010

Being vain is not the only grounds why some people go through breast augmentation operations in hospitals.

Differing breast sizes, very small breasts, full or partial removal of the breast through cancer, and drooping breasts are some of the justifications for breast enhancement methods. The healing period of breast enhancement surgeries should be deterrent for people to have the surgery done. Moreover, the factors listed above should never be subject to other people’s negative biases about vanity.

Breast enhancement methods are divided into two distinct categories. The first category of breast enhancement option consists of breast enhancement procedures that are surgical in nature. Breast implants are the most often used materials for breast augmentation. Silicone- or saline-filled implants are placed under the muscle of the breasts. The implants come in various sizes; thus, the individual can have a considerable increase in their bra size following the surgical treatment.

There have been occurrences of leaks in these implants. Silicone breast enlargement implants are selected more for their “natural” texture even if silicone has side effects in the body. Saline breast enhancement implants feel less natural. Nevertheless, these have an advantage just in case they leaked because the saline solution could be absorbed by the body without any side-effects.

There are a number of methods of breast enlargement today that do not require surgery.

Non surgical breast enhancement procedures belong to the second category of breast enhancement methods. These procedures are non-invasive and usually do not require a long period of recovery time. Hyaluronic acid is a completely safe breast enhancement filler offered as an alternative to the implants; it can increase the bra size to one cup or more. With the patient under local anesthesia, the filler is injected into the breast. The process lasts between thirty and 90 minutes, and there is no prolonged recovery period. Those who had the breast enlargement procedure done were able to go back to doing their daily activities immediately the day after they were injected with the hyaluronic acid.

After one year, the filler breaks down and is absorbed in the body without causing side effects.

February 5, 2010

Reports on human behavior exposed that many individuals get tattoos in their younger years and then later regret having ink on skin.

A dermatologic surgeon, who often offers tattoo removal procedures, remarks that a big majority (around 50%) of those people who have tattoos later regret getting them and wish to have them erased.

The progress of tattoo removal methods has seen a breakthrough in recent years, with the development of laser technology.

One such innovation for tattoo removal is the laser, in the form of Q-switching. Q-switched laser tattoo removal functions by creating pulses of concentrated light that passes through the epidermis, which is then absorbed by the ink. The bombardment of light causes the ink pigments to break down; these pigments are then absorbed into the body’s immune system.

With laser tattoo removal, a number of calls to the dermatologic medical practitioner may be needed to significantly reduce the visibility of the tattoo. Most cosmetic surgeons cannot ensure that laser tattoo removal methods will entirely remove a tattoo. There are different factors involved, such as the kind of ink used and how old (or new) the tattoo is. Yellow and green inks are trickier to remove compared with blue and black inks; aged skin art responds better to laser tattoo removal than newer ones.

Here is a reminder for anyone planning to get a tattoo (and will later grow rueful about it): The price for tattoo removal is significantly higher than the rate to get a tattoo done.
